Women Interested in Going Somewhere (WIGS)

Day Trip to NYC- April 2, 2025

Members of AAUW- MD, Harford Branch were joined by members of the Anne Arundel and Kensington-Rockville branches, friends and family to the United Nations for a private Focus on Women tour. The group learned about the history, mission and vision of the UN and the significant contributions of women to the work of the UN on Peace & Security, Human Rights and Development. We  also toured the Tenement Museum learning about the lives of women in 1902, the kosher meat boycotts, street vendors and food markets, finishing with a tasting at The Pickle Guys.
